Abstract
Studies indicate that the utilization of Additive Manufacturing (AM) will greatly increase the automation and efficiency of the construction sector, which is not on par with other industrial sectors. A modified version of the Analytical Hierarchy Process is developed in this study, which greatly decreases the required comparisons, minimizing the method preparation time, especially for a high number of variables, constituting it ideal for industrial benchmarking in competitive environments, like the construction sector. The minimized time and effort required for the modified method is pointed out in the presented benchmarking case study for the evaluation of a concrete-based AM process.
