Abstract
The think memory of the recent heat waves, causing prolonged episodes of summer heatwave, is still fresh in the collective memory. It shows that it is high time to deal with the planning of the city in the face of the rising temperature due to global warming. Convinced of the urgency of tackling this phenomenon, we propose a framework for earth printing with a robot mounted on moving platform for building cooldness islands. By combining earth additive manufacturing process and robotic, we can install these spatio-climatic devices directly in public spaces, forming sources of fresh air that make the city more liveable during heat peaks. The printing feasibility is verified through the process identification where key parameters are used. The proposed methodology is explained through a experimental project called TerraCool.
