Abstract
The traditional manual labor-intensive manufacturing processes of concrete structures, prevalent for the past century, have hindered the progress of concrete construction despite the advancements in design technologies (FEM, BIM etc.). The introduction of 3D printing (3DP) emerges as a transformative solution in Sweden, particularly for prefabrication companies grappling with high production costs and requirements of high efficiency. In the prefabrication context, implementing 3DP robots signifies an evolution in an already automated production facility. Swedish companies, accustomed to automated processes, are attracted to 3DP for resource and time management.
