Abstract
Industrialized construction (IC) and 3D concrete printing (3DCP) represent transformative approaches addressing inefficiencies in the construction industry. IC enhances productivity and quality through automation, off-site manufacturing, and standardization, while 3DCP, as an innovation within the IC framework, stands out as a pivotal advancement, enabling automated construction with reduced material waste and customizable designs. This study employs bibliometric analysis to examine publication trends, keyword patterns, and thematic evolution in IC, 3DCP, and their intersection using Biblioshiny tool. Findings indicate a consistent growth in research on IC and 3DCP, but limited exploration of their integration. Keyword analysis highlights IC’s focus on systemic optimization, sustainability, and management, while 3DCP emphasizes material innovations. Both domains converge on performance and design themes, revealing complementary strengths. However, gaps persist in prefabrication, material behavior studies, and barriers to adoption. Addressing these gaps can unlock synergies between IC and 3DCP, fostering innovation and sustainability in automated construction.
