Abstract

This paper reports about the development of a cost-effective and recyclable moulding system that will enable the resource-conserving and thus environmentally friendly production of complex-shaped precast concrete parts. In the research project, a mineral-bound material was developed that is extruded close to the and milled into the final contour. These steps result in a model, which in turn is moulded with a suitable casting resin. The resulting mould is then used for the production of precast concrete parts. The milled model is then recycled together with the milling waste. The reuse of the recycled material is currently being investigated. The properties of the material were characterised, e.g. the adhesive tensile strength of the concrete layers was investigated time-dependently and under the influence of an adhesion promoter. The interface was further investigated by means of ESEM.
