Abstract
The present study investigates the fracture behaviour of 3D printed concrete with different printing paths. Notched 3D printed concrete beams were prepared using different print patterns and tested under three-point bending. In addition, acoustic emission (AE) technique was employed to monitor the fracturing process from the interior structure of specimens. A distinction between trans-layer fracture and inter-layer fracture, based on the printing path, was reflected in the load-CMOD responses and AE activity during the test. A more detailed evaluation focusing on crack kinematics will be necessary to further investigate the mechanisms of fracture behaviour.
